Dr. Alden Adolph & Professor Ben Kopec shared how the Arctic serves as the Earth's air conditioner- we even got to look an ice core!

November 2019
Professors Deborah Gross and Tsegaye Nega from Carleton College presented on their work reducing air pollution in Ethiopia by introducing clean burning cook stoves. They even had one to demo for us!

October 2019
Will Schroeer presented to us about transportation and how we can stay safe navigating the roads in cars, on foot, or on a bike.

September 2019
Prof. Greg Muth from St. Olaf presented about the science of olive oil- we even got to sample some tasty varieties!

Prof. Mary Savina from Carleton College taught us about watersheds in our region.

JUNE 2019
Prof. Kohen and her group investigate how carbon dioxide interacts with molecular sieves. Their goal is to help find materials that can be used to remove CO2 from the atmosphere.
